My True Love

I am the foundation of all that is. It was I that caused God to create the heavens and the earth and all that inhabit therein. For I am the very nature of God and I am made complete when I receive myself back unto myself. You see I am the highest expression of God’s relation to His creation. When God looks at the works of His hands, He sees through my eyes.

It was I that moved God to walk in the Garden with Adam and Eve. I shined in His eyes when He supped with them in the cool of the day. I filled His heart even the more when their disobedience shut them out of the Garden and out of fellowship with Him. I caused a longing in His heart as He had to watch His beloved from afar.

I aroused a longing in God’s heart so much that He gave laws and ordinances that would clean His people up enough that they could again be in His presence. I caused Him to bless their wombs and their land as they served Him through me. I had God raise up prophets who would preach repentance. I swelled God’s heard so that even in the midst of generation after generation after generation of rebelliousness, God sent promise after promise after promise of a redeemer, a victor, an avenger, a savior.

In my greatest outpouring ever, I caused the Son to arise from His throne and remove His divine garments. I manifested so mightily through Him that He abased Himself to leave the holiest of holies for the darkness of sinful flesh. For me and me alone, He left the music of heavenly hosts singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty” for the sound of hundreds of people crying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him.”

When His heart was heavy with grief over the task at hand, it was I who refreshed Jesus in the Garden of the press called Gethsemane. And when every breath brought agony, I caused Jesus to look past His pain and grant a dying criminal a place in His kingdom. After death I led Him to not rush back to Heaven and its splendor, but to first descend to hell and take the keys from death so no man would have to taste it again. Because of me, just before Jesus retook His proper place sitting at the right hand of the Father, Jesus sent down the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide His beloved.

I became the bond that united Jews and Gentiles, men and women, slave and free. Most importantly, I became the Blood that wiped away every sin, every iniquity and united God with His people.

For I cover all sins and through me, iniquity is purged out of the heart. I cancel all debt and cast out all fear. He who dwells in me, dwells in God and I cause Him to be born of God and to know God. Through me in God, men become sons of God. Me in man is a reflection of me in God. I am shed abroad in the hearts of men by the Holy Spirit and I am expressed with actions and in truth. I cause men to pray for their enemies. I win men favor and a good name in the sight of God and other men. Those who pursue me find life, prosperity, and honor. I am made complete by men’s obedience to God’s Word, for I am His greatest commandment. When men direct me toward God, all things work together for their good. I cause the Lord to rebuke and chasten His children, yet neither life nor death, angels nor demons, the present nor the future, height nor depth, nothing in all creation can separate me between God and man.

I am patient. I am kind. I do not envy. I do not boast. I am not proud. I am not rude. I am not self-seeking. I am not easily angered. I keep no record of wrongs. I do not delight in evil, but rejoice in the truth. I always protect. I always trust. I always hope. I always persevere. I never fail.

I…am…love.
